New Kettering Lettings Plus (KLP) scheme launched to relieve homelessness
Are you looking to let a property?
Kettering Lettings Plus (KLP) is the new scheme that offers a package of incentives to local landlords who let their properties to customers of Kettering Borough Council who are looking for somewhere to live.
We work with prospective tenants from different backgrounds and with a range of housing needs.
The scheme is FREE for landlords to join.
Currently KLP is seeking to source new properties by working closely with landlords and letting agencies.
The incentives to this new scheme include, but are not limited to:
- rent in advance and deposit equivalent to one month's rent;
- access to our Landlord Improvement Grant;
- quarterly property inspections;
- practical support to help sustain tenancies; and
- our dedicated Landlord Liaison Officer as your single point of contact.
For more information, contact Gloria Jinadu, Landlord Liaison Officer, on GloriaJinadu@Kettering.gov.uk or 07526 918711.

John Conway, Head of Housing at Kettering Borough Council, said: “Many landlords will be able to enjoy a host of benefits from the KLP, and in addition to financial benefits, there are also opportunities to meet potential tenants, a mediation service, the option to sign up for the KLP bulletin, and much more!”
Cllr Mark Rowley, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Housing, Communications & Youth, said: “We are delighted to launch the new Kettering Lettings Plus scheme. This new initiative will enable people to access affordable housing and empower people to sustain their tenancies, helping to change our community for the better.”
