Northamptonshire Virtual Funding Fair 2020
Are you a community group who requires funding for a project, new activities and play equipment, building repairs or more?
The Northamptonshire Virtual Funding Fair 2020 will take place via Zoom from Tuesday 28th until Thursday 30th July, across several presentation sessions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for community groups across Northamptonshire to listen to presentations from local and national funders who can help contribute towards their community projects.
Funders: The National Lottery Community Fund, Northamptonshire Community Foundation, the Mick George Community Fund, Tesco & Comic Relief, Central Co-Op, Northamptonshire ACRE and Northants Police Fire and Crime Commissioner will be presenting at the event, providing valuable information on how best to apply for grants, along with special hints and tips.
This year’s Virtual Funding Fair has been organised by Northamptonshire Development and Funding Workers Network.

Councillor Scott Edwards, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community and Leisure, said: "This virtual funding fair is essential for any community group who need advice and to get a better understanding of what funding streams are available to them. We are proud to help host this Funding Fair and to work with the councils and organisations across Northamptonshire."
Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services at Kettering Borough Council, said: "Following on from the success of last year's funding day, we are delighted to once again work with voluntary and community groups from across Northamptonshire. Over the three days, groups will be given the opportunity to find out about the funding opportunities available to them by local and national funders."
Sean Silver, Voluntary Sector Development Worker at Kettering Voluntary Network, said: “This free virtual funding fair is for all groups, large or small across Northamptonshire. In this current climate, it’s a good opportunity to find out and discuss a wide range of funding opportunities and support that can make a difference to community groups and projects.”
Russell Rolph, Chief Executive at Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire, said: “We all know the challenges around gaining and maintaining funding for charities and community organisations. Funding gives us the tools to do our job. Any opportunity to talk to funders, even remotely is therefore vital. I am pleased that so many funders are prepared to work with the sector and attend this Fair"
Carella Davies, Chief Executive Officer at Daventry Volunteer Centre, said: “This Virtual Funding Fair offers a fantastic opportunity for Voluntary and Community groups with limited time and resources, to easily access first-hand information from a wide range of Funders, that will support them in writing funding applications”
