Warren Hill celebrates its first wedding!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Lawrence!
Kettering Borough Council’s newest wedding venue at Warren Hill, on Rothwell Road, in Kettering hosted its first wedding on Saturday, 22nd June.
The wedding ceremony was held in the venue’s purpose built outdoor pavilion and landscaped garden as around 40 guests watched Joelene and Sean tie the knot on a beautiful summer’s day. The day saw the happy couple surprise their friends and closest family on the bride’s 40th birthday and their 10th anniversary, with a surprise wedding followed by afternoon tea, then a live band & pizza van in the evening. You can see more about the surprise wedding at www.facebook.com/oursurprisewedding. The wedding was also filmed as part of UKTV’s ‘Wedding Fixer’ TV show, which is scheduled to be shown in the autumn.
Warren Hill, which currently incorporates Kettering crematorium, woodland area and burial grounds, is an ideal venue for weddings, in the same way as any church or hotel performs a number of social functions. As well as being able to hold outdoor wedding ceremonies, the venue also offers a light and airy room capable of holding 135 people, plenty of free car parking, toilet facilities, disabled access, and modern music facilities in situ.
