Celebrate local community facilities at open days
Counties Community Centre Open Day: Monday, 22nd October, 10am – 1pm
The last of a series of open days at community centres across the borough of Kettering is set to taking place at Counties Community Centre on Monday, 22nd October, 10am – 1pm.
There will be the opportunity to speak to local community services, engage with staff at the centres and enjoy refreshments and entertainment activities for all the family.
Come along and ask any queries you may have to representatives from the Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Fire Service and various teams from Kettering Borough Council. Visitors will have the chance to receive free health checks, advice on budgeting and Universal Credit, food safety, hand washing, community safety tips, various fun activities for the children, plus much more!
Following the success of open days at Highfield Barnes, Burton Latimer and Crescents Community Centres throughout the year, we are looking forward to welcoming residents to the Counties Community Centre on the 22nd October.
Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services Services at Kettering Borough Council, said:
“We’re keen to raise the profile of community centres across the Borough of Kettering. Come along, take part in the free family activities and find out more about the facilities on offer.”
Cllr Scott Edwards, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community and Leisure, said:
“These facilities are a key hub within a community and it’s important for local people to know what is available on their doorstep. The community centre open days are also a great chance to meet local people and get any advice you may want from local support agencies”.
