The winner of Kettering Borough Council’s e-billing competition has been announced!

Jen Pettitt from Geddington, was selected to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab through a prize draw for signing up for Council Tax e-billing through Connect Online.

Kettering Borough Council is encouraging local residents to register online to access their Council services from the comfort of their own homes, 24 hours a day. During March and April, customers signing up to e-billing through the Connect Online service were entered into a free prize draw with the chance of winning a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Signing up for Connect Online has the following benefits:

  • Helping the Environment - We send out thousands of bills each year to properties across the borough. Why not easily access your bill online instead?
  • Bills and Letters in One Place - By registering your Council Tax account on Connect Online you’ll be able to view the bills and correspondence we’ve sent to you and print them from home.
  • Securely access a personalised view of Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates and Housing and Council Tax Benefit services and make payments onto these accounts.
  • Why wait to speak to someone when you can view your current balance and transactions instantly on Connect Online? It also reduces the number of enquiries the Council receive, allowing our Customer Services Response Centre to handle more complicated enquiries quicker.

Entry for the free prize draw has now closed but you can still register for e-billing through Connect Online at www.kettering.gov.uk/connectonline

Cllr Mark Rowley, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communications, said:

“I’d like to congratulate Jen on winning her prize and signing up for e-billing and accessing the Council’s services online. Connect Online give our customers more choice and flexibility on how they access their accounts, whilst saving the Council money and I encourage many more to do the same.”

Julie Trahern, Head of Customer Services at Kettering Borough Council, said:

“We are thrilled with the response to signing up to e-billing through Connect Online - this service offers our customers additional choice of access to their accounts 24 hours a day. With the benefits this service offers our customers, we anticipate numbers for registration will continue to grow”.

Jen Pettitt, competition winner, said:

I am delighted to win the e-billing competition! Signing up online was quick and easy and I can now view my Council Tax details online at any time I need to. I think it’s a great initiative and I’d recommend local people register for this service.”
