Bin Collections Update: Monday 5th March

Published: Thursday, 1st March 2018

Following the major disruption to our bin collection rounds caused by last week's snow, here's when any missed bins will be collected:

Green waste, grey bin collections from Thursday & Friday:
As stated last week these collections have been suspended for a fortnight. We will take garden waste side waste as a one off in two weeks’ time from those affected. This decision was made so we can prioritise emptying the black and blue bins we could not reach on Thursday and Friday.

Green garden waste collections scheduled today (5/3):
We have had to utilise these crews and vehicles to catch up with Friday’s work so green waste scheduled for today will be collected tomorrow, with the exception of properties in the outlying villages such as Glendon and Newton and outlying farms, these will be collected on Wednesday.

Blue and red bins missed on Thursday and Friday:
All of Friday's work will be caught up with today and we will attempt to do as much on Thursday as we can. Anything we cannot reach today will be collected tomorrow (Tuesday).

Black bins missed on Friday:
All will be collected today, with the exception of one round in Rothwell, which will be collected tomorrow (Tuesday).

By the end of Wednesday we should have caught up with all of the collections missed due to the bad weather. We apologise for any inconvenience, thank you for your patience and we will keep you updated with any changes.
