Published: Tuesday, 8th August 2017

Cameron Galloway, Manager of Kettering Borough Council’s Crematorium and Cemeteries, has been recognised in a national photography competition.

The image of Rothwell Road cemetery on a winter’s morning was ‘highly commended’ in the annual competition, as awarded by Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM).

Images entered into 2017 ICCM Photographic Competition must have been taken in a cemetery, crematorium, churchyard or natural burial ground and was judged by ICCM Board of Directors.

Cameron has been invited to September’s ICCM Awards Ceremony to receive his certificate.

Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services at Kettering Borough Council, said:

“We’re delighted to see Cameron’s photo of Rothwell Road Cemetery being acknowledged by the ICCM. Our Cemeteries and Crematoria Team are very passionate about their work, which is shown in the high quality service provided.”

Kettering Crematorium has recently ranked highly in latest national performance indicators from APSE and has also launched a Pre-paid Cremation Plan to help ease the burden of funeral costs in a family’s time of need.
