One You is a national campaign run by Public Health England which encourages people to make better lifestyle choices that can have a huge influence on health. We're encouraging local people to get involved by moving more, eating well, drinking less or being smoke free. This could mean eating 5-a-day, taking the stairs, saying no to alcohol, or stopping smoking.
You can also get a FREE personalized health score when you complete the One You health quiz at www.kettering.gov.uk/OneYou
Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services at Kettering Borough Council, said:
“We've linked up with the national ONE YOU campaign to empower our community to feel good and improve their health by taking advantage of all the help available locally. Simple things such as eating healthier foods or finding an activity that you enjoy can make a real difference; so head to the Corn Market Hall on 4th July to see what is on offer.”
Cllr Lloyd Bunday, Kettering Borough Council’s Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Community & Leisure, said:
"There will be plenty going on at the Corn Market Hall on One You Day so the community can join in with this great campaign. Why not take advantage of the free hour of parking to have a mini health assessment, receive advice on smoking, losing weight or stress and find out more about local leisure activities and volunteering opportunities?"
