Extensions apply to Legion Crescent, Bowhill, Windermere Road, West Street & Hazelwood Court

Following extensive consultation exercises by Kettering Borough Council and Northamptonshire County Council, new residents parking control zones will become operational in three areas from 27th January 2017.

Kettering Borough Council wrote to all affected residents in early January confirming the new areas and inviting applications for permits. After 27th January, all vehicles parked on the public highway will be required to display a residents parking permit. The streets included within the new schemes are:
Legion Crescent (road adjacent to Kettering General Hospital - Zone O)
Bowhill and 1-7 Windermere Road (an extension to the existing Zone M)
West Street and Hazelwood Court (next to the Old Royal Hotel, town centre -Zone N)

The residents parking controls will operate between the hours of 8am and 8pm seven days per week, including Bank and Public holidays.

New signage will appear in these locations during the week commencing 23rd January and Kettering Borough Council wardens will be patrolling as of 27th January 2017.

Cllr Mark Dearing, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: “The extensions of our residents parking schemes have come from requests of residents living in these areas. Kettering Borough Council is committed to implementing residents parking schemes where local residents have said they were in favour.”

Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services at Kettering Borough Council, said: “Kettering Borough Council will continue to work with Northamptonshire County Council and residents to ensure that these parking zones and the necessary enforcement regimes are implemented to allow a safer and better environment for those who live on the affected streets.”
