Cremation and Burial service recognised by the ICCM

Kettering Borough Council’s Cremation and Burial service has been recognised by the Institute of Crematorium and Cemeteries Management (ICCM) for the high quality of the service it provides to its customers.

The Cremation Service has been given a Charter for the Bereaved Gold Award and a Silver Award for the Burials Service. The Award Scheme measures the organisation against the standards in the ICCM Charter for the Bereaved.

Shirley Plenderleith, Head of Public Services at Kettering Borough Council, said:

“We are constantly aware of the impact that our services have on our customers at this difficult time in their lives. Signing up to the Charter and measuring ourselves against these standards is a clear indicator of our commitment to constantly improve these services to support bereaved families. We are extremely pleased that the work that we have already done has allowed us to achieve Gold and Silver awards for our cremation and burial services respectively and we will work to maintain and improve on these where we can.”
