Privacy Notice - Kettering High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ)
Why we collect information about you
Historic England, through the Heritage Action Zone Scheme, are working with partners to provide grant funding which will enable the transformation of disused and dilapidated buildings into homes, shops, workplaces or community spaces. Kettering Borough Council has secured funding through the HSHAZ programme, and together with other funding streams, is now accepting applications from owners of historic buildings set within the eligible zone of the town centre. The grants will enable cultural led regeneration schemes such as the renovation of buildings and shop frontages, converting un-used historic buildings, and for building repairs and improvements.
Applicants may be a business or other type of organisation, or they may be an individual or sole trader.
How will we use the information we hold about you?
The categories of personal information we collect to assess and manage a HSHAZ grant are:
- Property details: address; tenure
- Applicant details: name; address; contact information such as telephone number/s, email address/es
- Financial information: VAT registration, funding sources;
- Agent’s, contractor’s and/or other professional advisor’s details
The above information, together with other data we collect from you related to the building/project will be assessed to determine eligibility and the level of grant funding available.
What is the basis for us to process your data?
The Council will process any personal data on the basis that it necessary for the performance of a contract to which both the applicant and the Council is a party. This includes the application process ie. before a contract is entered into.
Who we will share your information with
Only relevant employees of Kettering Borough Council have access to information held in relation to HSHAZ applications. This will be restricted to staff in our Development Services Team and our Commercial & Economic Development Team.
We may share your personal information if there is a public interest to do so, or the law allows it, such as the prevention and / or detection of crime. This could include the need to disclose sensitive or confidential information such as medical details to other organisations.
How long do we keep your records?
We will only keep your information for the minimum period necessary and in line with our Corporate Retention Schedule and to allow for audit functions. Information will be securely destroyed when no longer needed.
