Summer Sticker Trail, FREE

Check out our Summer Sticker Trail in Kettering. Trails can be picked up from the Museum and Art Gallery on Tuesdays - Saturdays between 10:00am - 4:00pm. 

Please note the Museum and Gallery are closed on Sundays, Mondays and bank holidays.

Summer Holiday Crafts

Join us for a fun-packed programme of children's activities this Summer. With a different craft session available everyday, there is something for everyone!

Activities are suitable for children aged 3 and above and we ask that all children are accompanied by an adult.

Alice in the Garden

Alice in the Garden, FREE

12:00pm - 3:00pm, 1st August in the Museum and Gallery Gardens

Join in with our tea party, create a mad hatter hat and decorate your own treat. Bring your own picnic blanket, treat supplied!

Also available will be balloon modelling and face painting, ages 3+.

Local History Sessions

Monthly at the Museum

Once a month, on a Wednesday evening, local history expert, Delia Thomas explores periods in Kettering's history.

Tickets for Local and Family History are £5.00, £3.50 with a Kettering Leisure Pass, or book onto three consecutive sessions for £12.00. Booking is advised.

There are currently no Local History sessions scheduled at the Museum.

Family History Sessions

Monthly at the Museum

Once a month, at 11am on a Saturday morning, local historian and professional genealogist, Andrea Pettingale leads themed Family History sessions to guide you in discovering your own family. Tickets £5 per person, £3.50 with a Kettering Leisure Pass. Booking is recommended.

Andrea also offers one-to-one Family History advice sessions which are £12.50 or £10.00 with a Kettering Leisure Pass per 30 minute session. Please note one-to-one sessions are available on the same dates, from 1pm onwards in consecutive order only. Booking is advised.

There are currently no Family History sessions scheduled at the Museum.

The Friends of Kettering Art Gallery & Museum

Once a month on a Wednesday evening, the Friends put on a talk in the Alfred East Art Gallery. Talks are £4.0 per person, free to Friends members. No advance booking is required.

  • Wednesday 19th September: Tim Upton-Smith 'Everyday Archaeology'
    To complement the Local Treasures exhibition at the Museum, Tim will explore the archaeology of the local area.
