About Our Repairs and Maintenance Services

Prioritising Repairs

We prioritise all repairs using the following categories:

Emergency Repairs - usually carried out with 24 hours Which can include: Total loss of power.  Unsafe electrical sockets or switches.  A major leak or drain blockage.  Total loss of heating during winter months.  Insecure doors or ground floor windows.  Temporary boarding of broken windows.
Urgent Repairs - usually carried out within 7 calendar days Which can include:    Minor cosmetic repairs and plaster work.  Doors and doorframes.  Re-glazing of windows.  Repairs to kitchen units and cupboards.  Broken bathroom or sanitary fittings.

Routine and Planned Repairs- usually carried out between 3 months and 12 months as part of our area maintenance approach

Which can include:    Minor cosmetic repairs and plaster work.  Doors and doorframes.  Re-glazing of windows.  Repairs to kitchen units and cupboards.  Broken bathroom or sanitary fittings. Fencing.  External works to gutters, brickwork and non-dangerous paths

When you report a repair we will tell you which category it is in. When your repair has been completed we will give you a questionnaire. Please return the questionnaire to let us know how happy you were with the service you received. This will help us to carry on improving the repair service.
