Regulation 16 – Publicising the Plan Proposal
The Council formally received the Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan proposal on 24 May 2022. Links to the documents forming the Plan proposal can be found below. In accordance with Regulation 16 of the (Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) the Council is now publicising the Plan proposal for a period of six weeks. Representations are invited from Monday 13 June until 11.59pm on Monday 25 July.
Representations should address whether or not the Plan proposal meets the basic conditions and / or other matters that the independent examiner is required to consider under paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended). Representations may also address whether the referendum area should be extended beyond the neighbourhood area.
It is the responsibility of North Northamptonshire Council to collate any representations made on the submission documents and forward them to the independent examiner. The examiner, in turn, will examine the Plan proposal and any supporting documentation, including any representations made, and assess whether the proposal is in accordance with the legal requirements and can therefore proceed to a referendum.

In addition to this the documents listed above can be viewed at Braybrooke Village Hall on Wednesday 6 July between 11am and 1pm as well as Saturday 16 July between 10am and 12pm. Hard copies of these documents are also available on request, please contact the email address above.

Submission of the Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan Proposal
The Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan Proposal was submitted to North Northamptonshire Council. In accordance with Regulation 15 of the (Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) the submission includes the following documents:
- Map identifying the area to which the proposed neighbourhood plan relates bound in the
- Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan
- Consultation Statement
- Basic Conditions Statement
- Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment Screening Report
- Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment Determination Statement
The Council wrote to Braybrooke Parish Council on 30 May 2022 to confirm receipt of the Plan proposal and advise that it complies with all of the relevant statutory requirements. The Plan proposal can therefore be publicised for a period of six weeks before proceeding to an independent examination. An update will be provided to this posting once dates have been agreed for the six week period.
Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan Draft Plan Consultation
Braybrooke Parish Council is undertaking a consultation on the draft Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation commences on 6 February 2022 and closes on 20 March 2022. Information on this consultation is available on the parish council's website:
Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan SEA and HRA Screening
North Northamptonshire Council undertook a screening assessment of the draft Neighbourhood Plan to determine whether there is a need for Strategic Environmental Assessment or Habitat Regulations Assessment to be undertaken. In accordance with regulation 11(2) of the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004, a copy of the Screening Determination and SEA and HRA Screening Report, which provides a statement of reasons for the determination, is provided below:

Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan Area
Town and Country Planning (General) Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 (and Amendment to Regulations 2015) and Localism Act 2011
Kettering Borough Council received an application from Braybrooke Parish Council as a relevant body to designate the Parish as the Neighbourhood Plan Area for the Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan.
On 14 April 2020 Kettering Borough Council designated the Parish of Braybrooke as the Neighbourhood Plan Area for the Braybrooke Neighbourhood Plan. A copy of the Approval Notice is available to view.
