Seats on Street Local Development Order
On 26 September 2018 Kettering Borough Council resolved to adopt the "Seats on Street" Local Development Order (LDO) for Kettering Town Centre.
The LDO automatically grants planning permission for tables and chairs associated with an authorised hotel and/or restaurant / cafe / coffee shop use to be placed on the highway and used for the consumption of food and drinks served by those premises, subject to specific conditions being met.
Full details of the LDO and reasons for making the Order are available below, in accordance with Article 40, Part 8 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015, in fulfilment of Part 3 of the Register of Applications [Planning].
Street Cafe Licensing
A Street Café Licence must still be obtained from Northamptonshire County Council Highway Authority (NCC), and their requirements complied with. An application form and street café license conditions are available below.
