Outdoor Markets are now open as long as they are able to meet the COVID-19 secure guidelines to protect shoppers and workers. 

The current guidance is found All traders are required to acknowledge these requirements and prove a satisfactory statement relating to your intended actions in complying with government guidelines upon booking and before being able to trade.

Weekday Markets

Kettering is a Charter Market with Friday and Saturday being the traditional market days offering customers everything from Fruit & Vegetables to Fashion. 

On Wednesday's the extremely popular Flea Market trades in antiques, second hand items, collectables and arts & crafts. 

Thursday is Desborough town market day; held on The Square, High Street with own rig traders only being accepted.

Pitch Costs

Pitch Costs are currenly free of charge and will be reviewed at the end of July alongside the review of the current free parking within all council car parks.

Speciality Markets:

Play Day Markets 2020 - 28th October

Located on Market Place every Wednesday of the school holidays throughout the year.  Pitch size based on 3m x 3m at £10 payable via invoice in advance.  Arrival Time 9am trading from 10am to 3pm.

Street Food at The BIG Switch On, 26th November 2020:

Street Food & Drink units located on Market Street during Kettering’s Christmas Light Switch On.  Pitches available for self contained units with pitch size based on 3m x 3m at £20 payable via invoice in advance.  Arrival Time 2pm trading from 4pm to 8pm.

Christmas Teenage Market, 5th December 2020:

Joining the towns regular market traders on Small Business Saturday.  Young creative traders & talented performers aged between 13 -21 years are invited to take part. Participation is FREE and you will be provided with insurance cover, a gazebo and a table.  To find out more and to book visit
