Electric Vehicle Charge Points

North Northamptonshire Council recognise and actively promote the benefits of electric vehicles in reducing harmful emissions and improving local air quality. Our commitment to the climate change agenda encourages the use and ownership of electric vehicles as one element of a sustainable transport package.

There are electric vehicle charging points in specially marked bays in some of our off street car parks.

Our charging points are provided by BP Chargemaster and are part of the Polar network.  They offer immediate access to charging on a plug and go basis. Further information on how to use charging points is available here.

Use of the charging points incurs a cost but North Northamptonshire Council offer 2 hour charging slots in the marked bays.

Electric Vehicle Charge Point Locations:

Zap-Map has an interactive map of charging points across the UK. It includes the types of point available at each location.

If householders or businesses that have their own parking want to have EV charge points fitted further information is available from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).

If a charging point is showing a fault, looks damaged or you experience any problems when you try to use it, please ring the 24/7 helpline on 0330 016 5126 or send an email to heretohelp@bpchargemaster.com
