Car Parking

Free disabled parking spaces

There are several designated disabled bays for disabled drivers close to the town centre.  They are clearly marked and located in the following locations:

  • Wadcroft car park: top end of car park and near to the side entrance of Marks & Spencer
  • London Road car park: outside the main entrance to the Corn Market Hall and Kettering Swimming Pool
  • Municipal Council Car Park: outside to the Council Offices main entrance
  • School Lane car park: at the entrance

(There are also bays located in the Newlands Centre Multi-Storey car park however, please note that this is not a Council car park therefore the car park regulations should be checked.)

If a disabled parking bay is not available you may park in any parking bay provided it is not restricted i.e. motorcycles, loading.

These are all free of charge facilities providing that valid blue-badges are clearly displayed. Please also note that a blue-badge holder can park on single and double yellow lines for upto 3 hours only providing that they are not causing an obstruction or danger to other road-users and a loading restriction is not in place (please see the advice printed on your badge and in the information booklet provided with your badge).

See our online car park database

Blue Badge holders are not exempt from the parking restrictions within the Residents Controlled Parking Zones; this includes both the single and double yellow lines. Visitor scratch cards should be obtained from the resident you are visiting.

If you are not currently a badge holder, but think you may be eligible, please view the information on the Northamptonshire County Council website.
