Kettering Training Services are seeking inspiring and innovative Learning and Development Officer to support our Employability Study Programme.

This post is currently offered as P/T but, subject to programme growth, it could be extended to F/T in the future.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed team player with a passion for developing innovative approaches to teaching Functional Skills on our Study Programme. Working primarily with 16-18 year old learners this is an opportunity to work within and existing team of educators to develop and deliver aspirational programmes of learning which embeds learners career aspirations, workskills and English.

We are looking for a maths specialist to deliver a curriculum that links to everyday life to enable learners to improve their economic prospects. The ideal candidate should be a team player who is inspiring, enthusiastic and confident to cover English, Workskills and PSHE lesson. They should also have the ability to overcome barriers with learners who occasionally present with a chaotic or difficult personal circumstance and may previously had a negative experience of school. The candidate should also be flexible to developing remote delivery.

Kettering Borough Council is a great place to work. We pride ourselves on our One Team culture where people feel engaged and their ideas are taken on board to improve services and deliver efficiencies.
