More than 20 per cent of households in Kettering Borough now reside in privately rented accommodation and it is essential that this accommodation is safe and appropriate to meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable residents in our borough.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Private Sector Housing Manager to lead the Private Sector Housing Team through a rapidly changing period for the sector. You’ll be responsible for leading on the inspection and licensing of HMO’s, responding to property condition complaints from private tenants and taking enforcement action where appropriate. You will also be responsible for overseeing the administration of the Council’s Disabled Facilities Grant programme.
With a good knowledge of the legislation, policy, procedures and practices in relation to private sector housing, you will also have the ability to analyse technical and financial information and make sound judgements. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Housing working either with a local authority or Registered Social Landlord, you will also have a minimum of one years’ experience of staff management.
