- It can help out with the family budget
Allotment trading huts sell seeds and fertiliser a lot less than buying from your local cut price superstore YOU control what you eat!
YOU decide what to grow YOU know what chemicals, if any, are used YOU control when and how it is harvested YOU know it's fresh!
You can grow unusual fruit or vegetables which may not be easily obtained locally.
Growing your own cuts down on use of transport and is more environmentally friendly
Keeping an allotment will help protect that allotment for use by future generations.
Whatever turns you on to allotments... the biggest benefit of all is the taste of REAL fruit and veg.
