Top tips on applying for Planning Permission
Top Tip Number Three
Consult your neighbours
Speaking to your neighbours about your proposals before you submit your application may help to resolve any potential concerns they have, or give you suggestions that would help save time later.
Although your immediate neighbours will be notified of any planning works you intend to carry out once the application is registered, by speaking to them you can discuss any potential issues. This provides them with the opportunity to make any comments on your proposals.
Talking with your neighbour about your plans is the best option, but if you would prefer to consult them in writing, suggested letters are available for you and your neighbours.
A template letter to your neighbours if you are the applicant is available to download.
