Big Draw Campaign for Drawing: Map it!

Kettering Market Place & Alfred East Art Gallery
Get drawing at this free event relating to the theme of treasure and maps, to coincide with the Hallaton Treasure exhibition at the Manor House Museum
Children's Activities
Monday 26 - Friday 29 October, various sessions
Kettering Market Place & Manor House Museum
Activities will include;
- Archaeological sandpit dig and grid plotting,
- Storytelling: 'What the Gargoyle Saw'
- Pottery reconstruction
- Archaeology handling sessions
- Art and craft activities including clay modelling

Hallaton Treasure Roadshow - The Romans are Coming!
Saturday 30 October, 10am - 4pm
Kettering Market Place & Manor House Museum
Meet Roman soldier Flavinus and Iron Age woman Seren and discover what life was like 2000 years ago. Children can decide whose side they are on and make a Roman helmet or Iron Age jewellery. Then pop into the Manor House Museum to see the Hallaton Treasure Travelling Exhibition and make an Iron Age coin to take home.
Northamptonshire's Finds Liaison Officer for the Portable Antiquites Scheme, Julie Cassidy, will also be at the Manor House Museum from 1pm - 4pm. Bring along your discoveries!

Family Event: 12 Days of Christmas Quiz

Manor House MuseumSolve the clues based on the words of the famous Christmas Carol and the Museum's permanent collections to win a prize.
£ 1 per person / pack of clues
Additional Activities for Children
Other daily activities consist of a variety of worksheets and puzzles, colouring sheets and brass rubbing. These are available all year round and are usually related to the temporary exhibition programme.
