'From Suffragettes to the Great War'

Saturday 25 September, 10am - 4pm
Manor House Museum and Gardens
Alfred East Art Gallery and Kettering Market Place.
Free Entry

The period 1900 - 1914 was one of great change and importance.  Whilst women were fighting for the vote, a nation was under the looming clouds of the Great War.  At this event meet suffragists and suffragettes (and learn the difference) along with soldiers of the Boer War and World War I.  There will be displays to see, artefacts to handle and performers who will answer all your questions and bring history to life.
Specific displays will feature A Suffragists meeting, a Suffragettes march and demonstration and a chance to join the army and drill with our soldiers.
