Local Development Scheme (LDS)
The current development planning system was introduced in September 2004, by the 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act. This legislation required Council's to produce a project plan/ timetable for the preparation of Development Plan Documents (DPDs) under the new planning system. It is required that this project plan/ timetable (known as a Local Development Scheme/ LDS) be reviewed annually.
The LDS for Kettering Borough is prepared jointly with the North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit, Wellingborough Council, East Northamptonshire Council and Corby Council.
