Open Space Supplementary Planning Document

This document sets out Kettering Borough Council's approach to securing open space associated with new residential development, and the mechanism for securing financial contributions for improving and maintaining open space.

Kettering Borough Council is keen to ensure that all residents in the borough enjoy a high quality living environment. A key element in contributing to the quality of the environment is access to adequate and safe open space with opportunity for both formal and informal recreation. Open spaces, sport and recreation all underpin people's quality of life.

This document is a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to the adopted North Northamptonshire Core Spatial Strategy Policy 5: Green Infrastructure and Policy 6: Infrastructure Delivery and Developer Contributions.
