Waste less, save more
Electricity, food and fuel all cost money. By being more careful
and by being aware of the resources we use, we can make these go
further. This helps the environment as it uses fewer natural resources.
Being energy efficient can cut as much as £340 off your annual energy bill and reduce your household's carbon dioxide emissions by around 1.5 tonnes.
Reduce the food you waste:
Throwing away food simply wastes resources. Just think about all the energy, water and packaging used in food production, transportation and storage. The average home wastes £420 by throwing away perfectly good food.
Be a smarter driver:
There are a few easy things you can do when you drive and look after your car to help reduce the amount of fuel you burn and cut down on CO2 emissions and save as much as £220 a year.
