Kids Cooking for Fun!

Published Monday, 30 January 2012

Want to find some easy, healthy and affordable cooking ideas?

Looking for something different and fun to do after-school?  Do you want help teaching the kids how to cook?

You don't need to be a Michelin star trained chef, you don't need to have an endless food shopping budget, these are all simple but nutritious ways to keep your family healthy and satisfied!  'Kids Cooking for Fun' is coming to Kettering for a one-off session, only on Tuesday 31st January 2012 starting from 5:30pm at Ise Valley Pavilion, Grantown Close, Kettering, NN15 5DJ.  If the class proves popular then you'll see more and more fun cooking sessions coming very soon.

Kids Cooking for Fun is a one-off lesson in cooking for any age of child for an hour, but they must be accompanied by an adult over 16 years old.  So whether you want some fun cooking ideas, want to lead healthier lives by understanding about nutrition and a balanced diet, or simply want to try something different in an evening as a family, come along and try it out!

Val Hitchman, Head of Community Services at Kettering Borough Council said: "Our residents have asked us to offer more family focussed workshops and ideas for healthy living, so we're trying something different to help families come up with interesting and exciting meals at dinner-time and snack-time. If we get a good turn-out then we hope to offer more sessions like this in more local communities."
