Local residents have been encouraged to sign up to Self Serve, a free unique service offered by the Council.

Throughout the summer council officers have been attending road shows, local events and libraries across the Borough promoting the advantages of Self Serve. An increase of around 200 residents signed up and those who registered during this period were automatically entered into a free prize draw consisting of a number of goodies and a luxury chocolate hamper.
Rebecca Smith, who joined up to the council's 24 hour service was chosen at random to win the luxury chocolate hamper.

Since its launch in January nearly 500 residents have already signed up to use the service which enables residents to view their Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefits accounts online, via the council's website at any time. Other benefits include being able to securely access personalised views of your accounts, make payments to the council, view benefit payment schedules, correspondence sent to them and access information on council tax bands from the comfort of their own home.

In addition to allowing residents to access council services 24 hours a day, the new service will reduce the number of telephone calls the Council receives. This will allow the council's customer services response centre to handle more complicated telephone calls quicker.

If you would like to find out more on how Self Serve can help you or to register pop into Kettering's Customer Service centre or visit www.kettering.gov.uk/selfserve.
