I Love Music: Kettering
18th June – 17th September 2016
Reminisce about Kettering's musical history and see how pop music had changed over the decades this summer at The Manor House Museum. The exhibition focuses on pop music from 1950 to the present day as well as all types of music in Kettering during this time, including local musicians and bands.

Come along and see the musical stars of the town and revisit big musical names of the past. There will be jukebox and further musical interactives for visitors to try out and to sing and dance along with!

Guy Holloway, Head of Corporate & Cultural Services at Kettering Borough Council, said: “The open mic event is a great opportunity for enthusiastic young people to not only showcase their talent but also to be inspired by other experienced and up and coming artists. If you sing or play a musical instrument and are interested in performing on Kettering Market Place then please get in touch!”

Cllr Lesley Thurland, Kettering Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community and Culture, said: "The open mic day will provide local musicians with a chance to perform their work, and will offer unique, original entertainment for those enjoying Kettering by the Sea. I am sure everyone involved will have a lot of fun!"
