Supplementary Planning Documents
SPDs
The 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act made provision for the preparation of Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) to provide greater detail on policies in development plan documents (DPDs), which would also form part of the statutory LDF. In 2008 changes to legislation and regulations updated the way in which SPDs are prepared making the process less onerous.
