National government is encouraging all areas to have a Local Strategic Partnership to ensure effective joint working between organisations and agencies.
The Kettering Partnership is made up of numerous groups and panels that are working across Kettering Borough to improve quality of life. The Executive Board is responsible for driving and developing the whole partnership, promoting joint working, as well as leading on the implementation, monitoring and review of the Community Plan.
The partnership also develops and takes forward new initiatives locally, for example they have recently been involved in the Audit Commissions National Area Profiles pilot.
Kettering Community Forum, Specialist Panels and Geographic Forums were set up in 1998. In 2000 the Kettering Community Forum joined with the County Council Area Committee to form the Kettering Area Forum. The Kettering Area Forum and associated Panels was formally adopted as a 'Local Strategic Partnership' (LSP) in September 2001. It was recognised that the partnership needed a group to steer and lead on its development and this led to an Executive Board being formally set up in September 2003.
If you would like copies of the minutes of any of these meetings or would like to find out when they are next meeting and how you can get involved please ring 01536 534191 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Agendas, reports and minutes of the Local Strategic Partnership are now also available online.
The whole LSP structure aims to bring key public, private, voluntary and community sector partners together to agree priority local issues, to develop a vision and to work together to work towards improving the quality of life in Kettering Borough now and in the future. The vision, priorities and actions that the partnership is working towards are outlined in Kettering's Community Plan.
The work of the Partnership is informed by the views of local people and other information on the State of the Borough. It is recognised that by working together we will achieve so much more!
