How Can Someone Vote On My Behalf?

If you would like someone to vote as your proxy, you need to choose a person you trust who will be willing to go to your polling station and vote for you in the normal way.

You can apply for a proxy vote if you cannot attend the polling station due to:

  • being on holiday
  • you have a physical condition that prevents you
  • employment reasons
  • being on a course
  • you live overseas and are registered as an overseas elector
  • you are a Crown Servant or in the Armed Forces
