Childminder Services: Outline
Registered childminders are professional day carers who work in their own homes to provide care for other people's children in a family environment. Unlike nannies and au-pairs, they are registered and inspected (for children up to 8 years old) by the OfSTED Early Years Directorate (OEYD).
