Electoral Register - Blind or Disabled Voters: Outline

The electoral register is the list of everyone who is entitled to vote. It is updated every year using the details from the registration form you receive each autumn from the council.

Now there is also rolling registration. This means the electoral register is updated every month between January and August. So if you have moved or have been missed off the register, you can get your new details put on to the register much quicker.

Unable to vote in person?

New arrangements allow anyone to apply for a postal vote at any election. Alternatively, you can apply for someone else to vote for you if you have a particular reason, for example, you are blind or disabled, or if you will be away from home during an election. Contact the Electoral Registration Officer to arrange for the right form to be sent to you.
