Kettering Borough Council has an established apprenticeship programme and many of our previous apprentices have secured a progression onto the advanced apprenticeship and employment.
Your duties will involve general administration support, using software packages, ordering and maintaining stationery stock levels, maintaining equipment and office systems, managing room booking system and mail collection, responding to customer queries, providing excellent customer service, and supporting your team to reach their objectives.
The postholder must have experience of using Word, spreadsheets and databases. Effective written and verbal communication skills plus a good standard of literacy and numeracy are essential.
The postholder must have the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and an ability to work in a systematic, organised and accurate way.
GCSE English, grade D or above, or equivalent
GCSE Maths, grade D or above, or equivalent
GCSE ICT, grade D or above, or equivalent
The postholder must be self-motivated and have a keen interest in the community, with an understanding of the importance of providing a high level or service.
The postholder should have the ability to work on their own initiative, as part of a team and undertake specific projects as directed.
